Dr. Matthew Sorensen
Matthew Sorensen, MD
Dr. Matt Sorensen was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida. He attended The University of Florida and graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery training at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
Dr. Sorensen has comprehensive training in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including the use of advanced laparoscopic procedures and the da Vinci robot for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and various other urologic conditions. Further training includes male and female urinary dysfunction, kidney stone disease, urinary incontinence, bladder cancer, and men’s health.
Dr. Sorensen and his wife, Kailyn, have one son and they are excited to once again call Florida their home. Dr. Sorensen enjoys all sports but primarily has a love for SEC football. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, reading, golfing, health/wellness, and quality time with his family.
