Dr. David Harris

Dr. David Harris received his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, Urbana. He attended the Loyola University-Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago before travelling to Boston for his residency training. After completing three years of general surgery on Harvard’s Surgical Service at the New England Deaconess Hospital, he received his urology training at the renowned Lahey Clinic.

Dr. Harris brings over two decades of experience in urology practice to Advanced Urology Institute. While his experience extends across all areas of urology, he has particular expertise in prostatic diseases, kidney stone management, and kidney disorders, including tumors. His special interest is minimally invasive kidney surgery designed to preserve renal tissue and to reduce patients’ post-operative pain and recovery time. This includes several types of laser and laparoscopic procedures as well as the da Vinci® robot.

Dr. Harris is board certified, a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also included in Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors referral guide based physician-lead research and peer review by leading hospitals and medical professionals. Dr. Harris is an active urologist at our office in Fort Myers, FL.
