If you’re young and you have newly diagnosed prostate cancer, I’m definitely more aggressive in that regard offering treatment options whether it’s a radical prostatectomy or any of the other modalities for that. If they’re older and have multiple medical comorbidities then I kind of tailor my conversation to present them all the options, whether it’s radiation, surgery or “watchful waiting” or active surveillance. I think all of those need to be weighed and need to be individualized for the patient and their conditions.
